On 8th March, Defence Ministry hosts conference on women's role in security institutions

In the case of March 8th, International Women's Day, today at KSF Kazerma Environment “Adem Jashari” in Pristina, organised by the Ministry of Defence, the women's “Roli Conference at security institutions” was held. Attending the conference were: The country's former president, Atifete Jahjaga, Defence Minister Anton Quinn, Deputy Defence Minister Sadika Kofrc, KSF commander, Lieutenant General Beftman Rama, Defence Ministry Secretary General Rosafa Ukimeriaj, Deputy General Gzim Hazrolli and officers and officials of the NATO Counseling Team (NALT).
Fashioned by Secretary Ukimeraj, in front of the official and military women of the Ministry of Defence and KSF, speeches on the woman's role in security institutions -- namely, the Ministry of Defence and KSF -- were held by Minister Kuni and General Rama.
Next, the conference carried out interactive works with comments and questions from those present, addressed former President Jahjaga and other members of the respective panel.
For her part, former President Jahjaga, in her main address, highly praised the role of women in the overall prosperity of human society, as well as that of Kosovo woman in particular in all historic stages with emphasis on the period of resistance and the struggle for freedom, independence and democracy.
The relevant conference, of all, was assessed successfully by closing up with the location of flowers at the memorial “Heroina” on the part of the Ministry of Defence and KSF delegation, to commemorate and honour the approximately 20 thousand women raped in the recent war in Kosovo.
