AUV spokesman Lamir Thaci said an amount of 700kg of meat and meat products were confiscated from this action, which failed to meet the legal conditions for marketing.
Subsequent meat products were: fresh meat, minced meat, sausage, crane, beef dry. The entire quantity was withdrawn from the sale, blocked by orders from the inspector. All the amount of forbidden meat will be destroyed in the presence of competent inspectors. Most occupants possessed good hygienic conditions, with flawed spaces ordered improvements within the terms of”, Thaci points out.
He also said that AUV through the veterinarian Inspectorate is taking action across Kosovo to remove from the market all food products of animal origin, which do not meet the legal criteria for food safety.
All operators who trade meat products must be registered to AUV. The butchers and meat processors should be licensed for the related activity. Space should meet hygienic technical conditions, which guarantee security in production of production of product”, he told Kosovas.
Thaci said that in all links of the food chain, conditions must be met for the product to the consumer to go secure and qualityly.
The AUV had also taken action in Prizren over the seizure of meat products that do not meet the conditions for trade.
