6 dead and 860 new cases with Covis-19 in Kosovo

860 people have been infected with 4318 tests in Hospital Service until 6 people have found death after infection in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, in the lab of molecular microbiology at IKKPK and private labs with RT- PCR, as well as private and public labs with the RRA method, have tested a total of 4,318 samples taken by the SSCKUK and the tracking of contact cases on the ground, out of which 860 positive cases result.

Six cases of death with SARS reported within 24 hours CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from municipalities: Kamenice 2 cases (78, 76), Dragash 1 case (84), Ferizaj 1 case (74), Fushe-Kosovo 1 case (65) and Gjakova 1 case (83 years).

The total number of positive cases is 86,194 cases out of 405,798 suspected persons in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 1,819 cases of death.

During the last 24 hours, 682 patients have been cured until the total number of cures to date is 71,269 cases, while the number of active cases is 13,106.

The positive cases are from the municipalities: Pristina 287 cases, Gjilan 69 cases, Gjakova 63 cases, Mitrovica 57 cases, Peja 52 cases, Ferizaj 41 cases, Prizren 37 cases, Podujevo 35 cases, Fushe-Kosovo 30 cases, Lipjan 28 cases, Camenice 24 cases, Decani 20 cases, Obilic 18 cases, Istog 17 cases, Vushtrri 16 cases, Kli 14 cases, Sceptreaj 14 cases, Shpe 8 cases, Dren 7 cases, Kacanik 5 cases, Malishev 4 cases, Gracica, Vance 3 cases, Year 3 cases, November 2ndac, Raka and 2ndoks, Dragkos, and a municipality.

In view of the dynamic and real-time assessment of the epidemiological situation with COVID - 19, today 860 positive cases have been reported, presenting the largest number of positive cases this year with a tendency to increase the following few days. Only in Pristina were 287 positive cases reported. We express comfort to family members over six reported deaths during the last 24 hours.

The number of positive cases and deaths by COVID-19 continues to be high and concerned as a direct result of neglect of the measures.

Doctors overloaded in hospitals are struggling against this subtle, destructive virus with all their professional and human power.

IK The KPS reiterates the call for implementation of all general and specific measures for protection from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prevention measures are the same as a particular axient that positive people should stay at home to prevent family and community spread. With the reduction in contacts, we'll make it possible to disrupt the spread of infection.

So we recommend again:

1. Stay at home, and exit is just necessary;
2. The rigorous ban on dating people you don't live with in communities, except for specific purposes;
3. Rigorous stop of gatherings;
4. rigorous respect of restrictive measures in public activities;
5. Restricting work on non-secial activities and events while reducing work time during the day.

IK The KPS estimates that these measures could cut the increase in number of cases, prevent the overload of hospitalizations and prevent the death toll from increasing.

IK The KPS appeals to all citizens, institutions, and public and private organisations, to the respect and undertaking of all necessary measures for prevention, management and control of COVID-19, taking into account the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Combating the COVID-19 pandemic, and decisions in force on the measures and obligations of institutions to implement general and specific measures for protection from the CORVID-19 pandemic.

In particular, we call for implementation of recommendations and respect of restrictive measures for public activities, respectively, restrictions on the collection of citizens and public gatherings.

Collecting citizens without masks and keeping distance increases the risk of spreading infection while the SARS-COV-2 virus is present among us.

We appeal to the responsible institutions, Kosovo Police and the responsible inspectors respectively, to carefully monitor and take all necessary actions to implement measures and other decisions in force in the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Combating COVID-19 in the Republic of Kosovo.
