About 400 miners at the Artana Mine have entered the strike, as the same have not been met by the basic conditions, and neither has the January month's salary been given.
The strike in question has been confirmed for news.net by the miners' representative, Blerim Ymer.
Ymer said the management was informed of the strike days ago, but that none of their demands were taken into account and so nearly 400 miners are already on strike.
The working unit's <x0... From today we are officially on strike and the reason is the non-realisation of the salary, that is, the monthly salary of January. There are some who received 70% of their salary and others neither at 70%<1>, he said.
Starer pointed out that the demands have been filed before, but that they have not been considered, so they have no reason to talk to them.
Neither has anyone from the government contacted us yet, even though they had access to 1.7m euros, from the subvention, but they are neither alocus nor those”, he added.
According to Blerim Ymer from the management, they are not even interested in talking to them about submitting the demand for a rating.
Unlike Kosovo miners, Kosovo's miners now and long face similar problems, where wage failure and basic conditions have often been absent.
