Over 11,000 active cases with Covid-19 in Kosovo, situation every day more serious

Even today, over 700 daily cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Kosovo for the second day in a row.
According to IKSHPK data, 4291 people have been tested within the last 24 hours, and 704 have resulted positive.
In addition, there have been five cases of deaths of patients with COVID-19 during these 24 hours.
Death cases are from municipalities: Gjilan 1 case (73), Mitrovica 1 case (67), Peja 1 case (69), Prizren 1 case (56) and Skenderaj 1 case (71 years).
The total number of positive cases since the beginning of Kosovo's pandemic are 79,793 cases of 370,865 people tested.
Of this total, 1,736 people have died during the period they have been infected with the Corona virus.
On the other hand, including 342 patients cured in the last 24 hours, the total number of cures has gone to 66,321 cases, while the active number is 11,736.
Today, USKKUK Director Valbon Krasniqi has said the situation with COVID-19 is getting heavy and that there are large numbers of patients who are looking for spiritualization.
That before the media has said 36 patients are in critical condition, out of the total 780 are being treated in regional hospitals and KKUK.
“Situation with COVID-19 is getting heavy from day to day. We're looking at the biggest number of patients every day who're looking for hospitalization. Today we have 780 patients in 7 general hospitals and QKUK's COVID clinics. 36 in critical condition, over 500 patients are with continuous oxygen”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi has also said that the government will send a letter so that they can see the possibilities for expanding capacities.
He also announced that the decision has been made to be required by the Government of Kosovo to expand USKKUK's capacities for hospitalising patients with coronavirus.
