Over 11,000 active cases with COVID-19 in Kosovo: Hospitals towards capacity limit

A total of 4388 tested samples that were a record record number of tests in one day have resulted in 709 positive cases.
Within 24 hours there were also 8 cases of SARS deaths reported CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from municipalities: Gjilan 2 cases (74, 60), Pristina 2 cases (89, 76), Kacanik 1 case (76), Podujevo 1 case (70), Rahovec 1 case (62), Skenderaj 1 case (64).
The total number of positive cases is 79,089 cases out of 366,574 suspected persons in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 1,731 cases of death.
During the last 24 hours, 385 patients have been cured until the total number of cures to date is 65,979, while the number of active cases is 11,379.
On the other hand, director's duty to the Infectious Clinic and infection Izet Sadiku has said hospital capacities for patients with COVID-19 are being filled in.
Sadiku in T7 says that in two weeks the number of hospitalised patients at QKUK has increased for 300.
We have an increase in the last two weeks, in early March we have had about 500 hospitalised patients, so for two weeks they grew to 800. This indicates that hospital capacities are filling”, Sadiku says.
He has said that now 5 months, the Infectious Clinic is always filled with patients being treated for COVID-19.
