Skyright Mayor Bekim Jashari has congratulated Vetevendosje Movement for victory in the February 14th elections.

Through a Facebook post, he said it is vital to consolidate state institutions as soon as possible.

His full response:

Our state yesterday passed another test of democracy, successfully completing the election process for the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo.

Despite the results noted in organising the elections, it still needs to be worked on developing electoral reform, which will enable increased transparency and credibility of the election process.

At the same time, I want to congratulate the Vetevendosje Movement for the victory achieved in these parliamentary elections.

It remains vital that as soon as our central institutions are consolidated to take in intensively with effective management of the COVID-19 pandemic, economic recovery, fighting corruption and nepotism, increasing employment and integration of the country into international mechanisms.

Our state, built with great effort and sacrifice, can be developed and empowered only by being united, the opposition position (each in its constitutional role) faced national topics for the good of the state.
