Vuciq: Pristina dislikes Washington deal

Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has continued to talk about dialogue and, as he says, Pristina's stance and warnings that Brussels and Washington together are preparing new pressures on Serbia regarding recognition of Kosovo. We will see what they [Kosovo] will say about the Washington Agreement. [...]
We will see what they [Kosovo] will say about the Washington Agreement. I see they don't like it. The only thing they would like is for Serbia to recognise an independent Kosovo. If they think it's actually possible, happy as they are. We don't think so. Some were surprised and criticized when I said: You do your job, and we do our thing. I have not come up with strong statements, like the previous [Serb] authorities... We better let them show nervousness, and we will continue to work on strengthening our economy”, Vuciq declared on Friday at a meeting with representatives of Kosovo Serbs held in Kursumli, Telegraph conveys.
At this meeting, as writes “Novst”, President Vuciqi announced that all Serbs living in Kosovo would be financially assisted by the Serbian state. He said the unemployed will receive 200 euros, while children will receive 100 euros.
The head of the Serbian state briefed Serbs from Kosovo on the political situation before the arrival of the European Union's special representative for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
Ahead of Lajcak's visit to Kosovo and Serbia is increasingly talking about stronger US and EU commitments to persuade Serbia to recognise Kosovo's independence. Speaking of this, Vucic has stressed the importance of the unity of Serbs in Kosovo and their determination not to give up on Belgrade.
“Once again, I thank the Serbian people in Kosovo for showing unity, because they realized this is the only way to fight for their interests. If there were 43,800 votes for the Serbian List, while those [Serbian parties in Kosovo] who tried to separate the Serb people received 1,300 votes, it is clear what the difference is and what is support for the unity of our people and close ties with Belgrade”, Vuciq has said, commenting on the outcome of Serbian political leaders in the February 14th national elections in Kosovo.
