Turkey: Kosovo Embassy in Jerusalem Against UN Resolutions, International Law

Turkey on Tuesday criticised Kosovo's pledge to open the embassy in Jerusalem, saying the move violates UN resolutions and international law. Kosovo's “Home in question is a violation of international law, especially of UN resolutions adopted on this issue”, the [...] spokesman said in a statement.
Kosovo's “Home in question is a violation of international law, especially of UN resolutions adopted on the issue”, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said in a statement.
Aksoy added that the step made by Kosovo will not serve the Palestinian cause and damage the vision of the two-state solution, writes Anadolu.
Turkey's reaction came after Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Gabriel Ashkenazi said he has approved Kosovo's formal application for the opening of the embassy in Jerusalem.
When Kosovo opens its embassy in Jerusalem, it will become the third state to take such action, after the United States and Guatemala.
The establishment of diplomatic reports between Kosovo and Israel came after agreements the Jewish state reached in recent months on normalisation of reports with four Arab states: United Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco
