Threatened Journal, White House spokesman suspended

A White House spokesman has been suspended free of charge for a week's work after allegedly threatening to destroy “a journalist who was asking questions about private life. TJ Ducklo allegedly threatened the journalist of Politico, Tara Palmer, who was looking into the relationship [...]

TJ Ducklo allegedly threatened the journalist of Politico, Tara Palmer, who was investigating his relationship with another journalist.

White House spokeswoman Jen Pskai said Friday that spokesman Ducklo has apologised to the journalist. However, he himself has not commented on the case, the BBC writes.

Some observers criticised President Biden for failing to take stricter measures. Earlier, he had promised to dismiss each member of the staff who speaks disrespectfully to his colleagues.

The journalist allegedly threatened was investigating Ducklos' relationship with Alexi McCammond, a journalist who was taken over reporting on the Biden election campaign.

The magazine “Vany Fair” reported that the suspended spokesman called Politico's reporter on the phone and told him: “will destroy” and make further derogatory comments.

The White House spokeswoman said Mr. Ducklo will no longer have contact with Polyticos journalists when he returns to the White House after the suspension.
