According to him, Kosovo has more problems with legislation for investigating economic crimes, but needs more people specialising in this area.
What's important is that we will continue with the implementation of the functioning revision of the rule of law system. We have to establish the anti-corruption bureau. I have been backed up when I was a minister even from the European Union, America and Britain”, he said in the election show at T7.
Tahiri has said that “Kosova São has a problem with the legal basis for seizure of property”.
We lack of people specialising with the investigation of financial crimes. Wealth is far out of the country. Financial crimes should be investigated, when many businessmen may be partners with politicians in the country... we have to invest more in this bureau, specialising people to investigate financial crimes. We have business with legislation, we have an extraordinary legal basis. My engagement will be right here to establish institutions of specialised people to investigate this crime”, he has indicated.
Tahiri has called the disappearance of the Kosovo Police anti-corruption Task Force a tremendous mistake.
With the National Bureau of Investigation, the corrupt will realize that salvation from responsibility and accountability is an illusion that will completely disappoint. We have heard it said that many senior politicians and institutions officials, the benefit from the corrupting activity they carry on in Kosovo, try to legitimise it in other countries through money laundering and the purchase of real estates and assets abroad. The National Bureau of Investigation will cut off this path by tracking and confiscating the property they have hidden in the crime paradise. Besides this Bureau, we will support other mechanisms in fighting corruption. Within the first 100 days, we will begin increasing the number of prosecutors separately in the anti-corruption department and the one for investigating war crimes. The fight we have begun with increasing punishments for corruption and crime, we will continue with the automatic suspension of any official suspected of corruption and abuse of official office. That makes the difference between those who talk about change and those who make the difference concrete, he added.
