Swiss authorities have declared that the data for the AstraZeneca vaccine is not enough to give the green light, for its use.
The agency that approves the use of drugs and vaccines called for new research on the effectiveness of the vaccine.
Meanwhile, a day earlier the French health authorities announced that the vaccine against AstraZeneca's Coronavirus should only be given to people under 65.
This is the latest development by an EU country that approves such restrictions on this vaccine, justifying it with insufficient efficiency for the elderly. Germany and Austria have already recommended that it be limited only under the age of 65.
The EU's drug regulator has approved the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine for all adults, but it is up to each member to determine its own policy of use.
