These companies quoted a study published in the scientific magazine “Natural Medicine”, in which the vaccine is said to have extracted antibodies that have neutralized new versions of the virus that first emerged in Great Britain and South Africa.
The study data was released from testing 20 people who were vaccinated and monitored for major mutations, Anadolu writes.
The study was published after another study published Sunday showed that the other vaccine, conducted by Oxford University and the Astra-Zeneca company, is less effective against South Africa's variant.
In contrast, experts believe that the British version of the virus is far more contagious than the original option. This has led many countries to suspend travel with Great Britain and to toughen restrictive measures for fear of spreading variants.
