No one knows when to start counting votes from the diaspora

Valmir Elez, spokesman at the institution, said that at the Centre for Counting and Results (QNR), significant electoral material, which was used during election day, is being accepted, and according to him, the conditions for the start of verification and counting by mail.
“We don't have a precise date when this process can begin, as we are currently focused on accepting sensitive electoral material from all municipalities, and we believe that this process will be completed today. We believe that during the next day, counting on bail, diaspora votes and votes of persons with special needs will begin”Elez told the REL.
About 43,000 packages of paper from the diaspora have arrived in Kosovo. Over 100,000 citizens living outside Kosovo have had voting rights in the 14 February parliamentary elections.
However, Elez hopes that when conditions for their counting are created, the process of counting these votes will not take long.
Meanwhile, the number of conditional votes and votes of persons with special needs still is not known.
The Central Election Commission has so far numbered 99% for parliamentary elections held Sunday, February 14, 2021. Based on the CEC's preliminary results, the Vetevendosje Movement, led by Albin Kurti, won about 48 per cent, or over 374 thousand votes.
According to these results, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has 17.35 per cent, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 13.18 per cent. In fourth place is the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo with 7.42 per cent.
