Serbia's Health Minister Zlatko Lloncar announced on Friday that an agreement has been reached with Pfizer Company/ BioNtech for supplies of 1,200,000 doses of the coronary vaccine in the second three months of this year, as well as 19,000 in the third month.

“This is a great success for the citizens of Serbia, which most of the world can only dream of”, Lloncar told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

So far Serbia has vaccinated over a million people. This state at the end of December has started vaccinating its population against the Coronavirus, using Pfizer companies' vaccine. BioNTech, and then Russian vaccine Sputnik V and Chinese, SinoPharm.

Authorities have allowed citizens to choose which vaccine they want to obtain.

Serbia has donated vaccines to municipalities in northern Kosovo, then to Bosnia and Herzegovina's Republika Srpska, as well as to two other countries in the region, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia. / REL
