“As for dialogue with Serbia, the United States strongly supports the EU-launched dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia aimed at a comprehensive normalisation agreement, which should focus on mutual recognition,” said the spokesman.
He said the US congratulates the people of Kosovo on their successful parliamentary elections.
“We hope to work with the government once it is formed, on priority issues, to advance peace, justice and prosperity in Kosovo and in the wider region,” said the spokesman.
He also said the US will support efforts by the previous administration to achieve normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia.
