During this visit, Selimi said he has been notified of the capacities of this depot, aimed at more efficient management of seized or seized assets.

He made it known that in 2020 the leftovers of seized and sequencing assets have reached about 1m and 600 euros.

“Today we visited the warehouse of the Agency for Confiscated Riches Management and Secuested, to see closely its current state and capacities. In 2020 alone, the value of seized and sequencing assets has reached about one million and six hundred thousand euros”, Selimi said.

According to him, confiscating illegal property remains the main priority and mechanism for successful fighting corruption and organised crime.

Anyone trying to illegally take advantage will be the target of the investigation and no one will be above the law. The state will not stop sequentising and confiscated any property illegally acquired”, Selimi said.

Minister Selimi said necessary infrastructure should be regulated in the AAPSK depot, in order to increase the capacity of seizure.

“The Ministry of Justice will do everything that is possible to increase the capacity to regulate the necessary infrastructure in terms of this depot, so that the Ministry of Justice and the Agency for the Management of Confiscated and Sequasted Riches will be willing that when the seizure capacity is increased as a result of legal changes, to manage confiscated property and sequentised in compliance with legislation at power<1>, Selimi added.

In contrast to the June 4th, December 2020, Agency for the Management of Secuested or Confiscated Riches has executed a total of 92 decisions submitted by courts for managing seized or property.
