One of the three deputy leaders of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Hakki Rugova, has declined to comment on Anton Quinn's candidacy, who said he will join the race for the first of this party.
Rugova, who is chairman of the Istog municipality, said it is a personal matter for everyone to run for LDK chairman.
I just heard, I didn't see Quinn's candidacy, why not, he's right. I don't have anything to declare for candidacy, it's their issue, it's their personal issue now is the procedures, to look at”, Haki Rugova said briefly about KALLXO.com.
Last night, incumbent Defence Minister Anton Kuni said he would join the race to lead the LDK in the next two years.
Quinn is chairman of the LDK branch in Prizren, the country where he was burdened as the third political force -- with only 9.70 per cent -- behind the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
In early elections for the Kosovo Assembly, The LDK managed to win only 13 per cent of the vote, while it failed to get the first in any municipality in the country.
The LDK received few votes even in the municipality where the mayor is Hakki Rugova. Of the current results, the LDK received only 26.76 per cent of the vote, while LVV received most of the votes, or 43.81 per cent.
