Imer's resignation has come after the poor outcome AAK had in the February 14th elections in this municipality of Lipjan.
After a comprehensive analysis of the progress of early parliamentary elections held on February 14th, I consider that the AAK branch in Lipjan failed to realise the envisioned targets”, Imer wrote in his resignation.
Imer has further announced that as a result, he has resigned from all functions in the AAK.
“in the political spirit created and with the new political current, I find it impossible to continue being a part of the political journey in the AAK and the direction of this density, so from these facts I submit my resignation from all positions on all levels at AAK<18x1>, Imer wrote.
According to preliminary results, Ramush Haradinaj's party has ranked fourth with 7.4% of the vote.
