QUINT ambassadors, consisting of the US, Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy, have met today with local election co-ordinator Laura Pula and law enforcement institutions that are part of the memorandum for protection of the vote to discuss the February 14th elections.
They in this case called on representatives of local law enforcement institutions to engage and ensure fair and secure electoral processes.
Meanwhile, the election co-ordinator, Laura Pula, has announced to the QUINT ambassadors, with actions undertaken from 2013 until now by the State Prosecutor, where she stressed that every time elections have been held, they have had the only role to protect the citizens' vote.
It has suggested that 88 presiding prosecutors on the entire territory of Kosovo have been appointed for the 14 February elections, passed by 40 support staff, where they will work in joint teams with police investigators, and that the Kosovo State Prosecutor and Police will investigate and prosecute any allegations of fraud, bribery and other criminal offences related to the elections.
Co-ordinator Pula has appealed to citizens who have evidence of fraud, indecent behaviour and irregularities of the election process to appear and to report them to Kosovo Police and the State Prosecutor.
