Long sentences and fines are expected to be pronounced even those convicted of inciting “contempt violence” against the Pucci leaders, the military has said.
These penalties were warned as many army tanks were seen on several streets of several cities, the BBC writes, translating Periscopi.
Hundreds of thousands have attended the protests of the last days.
Demonstrators are seeking the release from domestic prison of elected leaders, including Aung San Suu Kyi, and the restoration of democracy in the country. /Periscope
