At the Constitutional Court in Pristina on Wednesday was meant to hold the initial hearing against former Vetevendosje Movement delegation Valon Ramadani, accused of using dangerous means and obstructing the official person during the official duty.

However, at the defendant's defense request, lawyer Naser Soopyan, this session has been put off for April 15th, 2021, reports “Justice Trust”.

Ramadani is being charged by the prosecution that on March 21, 2018, at the extraordinary session under way in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, he had thrown tear gas down, and had prevented the official persons from carrying out official office -- in this case the Kosovo Assembly deputies -- with what was being done with the seizures.

However, this is not the first time that the hearing against accused Ramadani is failing to be held at the request of defence.

At the December 17, 2020, attorney Sopjan, after reading the indictment, had proposed that the hearing be postponed with the argument that the same one had just been equipped with material paperwork and needed time for their analysis.

While at the session of this Wednesday, the lawyer again proposed that the hearing be postponed, as he put it, today he has been equipped with 10 CDs that are evidence of this case, and that he needs time for their analysis.

I, as a defender today, accepted 10 CDs from the state prosecutor and which I did not admit earlier because the first few days after the last session were not ready, and last week at the Kosovo Lawyers Oda we are in a boycott with Pristina Prosecutor and we can't go dumb, so that's why I ask that today's session is postponed until we analyze evidence. - CD”, he said.

In this regard, prosecutor Besart Mustafa has said that CDs were available in February, and that the Sopijan lawyer had been contacted for this.

“The CDs were available in February and the defendant's defender was reported, contacted again by my office but had no access to the phone, so even though they were reported on CDs, the CDs were only available today. I do not oppose the lawyer's proposal”, prosecutor Mustafa said.

While the representative of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament has not presented at this session, Valon Dobruna, of whom Judge Lumnije Krasniqi has said he has been notified and his absence has not reasoned.

Initially the initial session in this case was scheduled for October 12, 2020, which had failed to be held due to the failure to accept the invitation by accused Ramadani, so the court had repeated the invitation to the same, sending the invitation to the post of the accused Ramadan.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina on July 30th 2019 has filed charges against Valon Ramadani, which he accuses of two criminal acts and “the use of a dangerous weapon or tool”, from Article 375 par.1 of KPRK, as well as the “obstruction of the official person, in carrying out the official task”, from Article 409 par.1 of KPRK.

According to the accusation, on March 21, 2018, in Pristina, exactly in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly Hall, accused Ramadani, deputy of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, in violation of the applicable law on arms, has used weapons in the manner he has lit up and thrown a tear gas tank during the development of the extraordinary session.

The accusation is said to have prevented officials from carrying out official positions, Kosovo's Parliament deputies, in time, the country, and the highest manner, the accused Ramadani has, respectively, from using tear gas and the work of an extraordinary session of the RKS Parliament.
