The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, has banned three police officials, in the course of 48 hours, under suspicion of having committed criminal acts “Kestument during the exercise of official duty or public authorization” and “Heavy body injury”
The prosecution reports that the case occurred on February 04th 2021, in the early hours of the morning, where the victim was first detained by traffic-oppression police officials, then allegedly mistreated, and from their use of physical force, the same has suffered serious bodily injuries and is currently found for medical treatment.
The guardian prosecutor at the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova has also been in consultation with the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, at whose recommendation the seven police officials, allegedly involved in the incident.
The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, during the day, will apply for detention at the competent Court, for the three police officials who are in custody, and will continue investigations into four other officers who are suspected of the case in question.
