According to the police, their plan has preceded the initialisation and prosecution of any criminal acts against voting rights and the enterprise of all procedural/penal measures against anyone who conflicts with the country's laws, sanctioning illegal actions against free and democratic elections.
Kosovo's “Police in co-operation and co-ordination with the State Prosecutor have initiated three cases that are related to elections, but which have not affected the overall election process. One case has been recorded in Lipjan as “Pegim of the voting process”, where a person who, at the verdict of the competent prosecutor has been sent to the hold for 48 hours has been arrested. While the other two cases -- one in Prizren and one in Fushe Kosovo -- have been recorded “Cenim of voting secrecy”, where both prosecutors' decision has been submitted to regular procedure”, the communiqué says.
Kosovo police say they have addressed any information that has been linked to the election process, as well as to other cases that do not concern the election process.
