In a letter to American lawmakers, Pelosi said the commission would be designed by the one who investigated the circumstances of terrorist attacks in New York and Washington on September 11th 2001 and would be assigned, among other things, to examine the facts about the willingness of police and other federal and state security services, Reuters reports.
“It is necessary to fully investigate what happened,” said Louisiana Senator Bill Casey, one of the seven Republicans who voted for Donald Trump's dismissal.
More than a month after the attack on the U.S. Congress building, in which five people lost their lives, the Capitol Hill complex is provided by more than five thousand security service members.
