The Central Election Commission has announced that out of 43,500 package revenues by mail, 11,653 have been subjected to the evaluation process. According to the CEC, 8,212 ballots have been approved, while 3,435 have been refused.
The CEC voter service is continuing with the evaluation process of 43,500 alleged packets of balloting and selections that we accepted during the voting period through mail. This vetting process will help us get back to what the exact number from abroad is”, Elez said.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said that the reason for the refusal of some of the envelopes are different, including those some packages were sent by persons who are not registered as voters outside Kosovo.
“Arsyet of their refusal are different. Some of these packages have been sent by persons who are not registered as voters outside Kosovo during the application period. Some of them have been submitted by persons who refused in the period of application”, Elez said.
The CEC's spokesman has stated that the Results Counting Centre is intensically working on completing previous activities.
Some of the activities under way are the processing of the results of candidates and political subjects' forms and subjects, scanning the final voter list, and the process of assessment of the alleged ballot package, coming from outside Kosovo”, he has declared.
Elez has suggested that out of 2,380 countries, the QNR has managed to process in the system data from political subject forms, for 2100 seats or 80% of them, as well as data from candidate forms for 1,679 seats, or 70 percent.
For the recount process, he has said it will last until 2: 00 a.m., while not excluding the possibility of further recounts, on the basis of the CNR recommendation.
“Their recounting will take place by 2: 00 p.m., while according to the possibility of further recounting, with QNR recommendation, we cannot exclude it because there are locations that are in the auditing process”, he said.
