Protesters in Myanmar have no hold, following the arrest of the leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, of the armed forces.
They have chosen to protest so their leader is released, but the police have used force to disperse them.
Thousands participated in the third day of street protests, calling for the release of elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi. They also called for the restoration of democracy. This came a day after the biggest protest was held in Myanmar in more than a decade. Last week, the military took over the country's power and direction, claiming without any concrete evidence that the November elections were manipulated.
Among other things, the armed forces announced a year's emergency situation in Myanmar.
