In the case of the 13th anniversary of Kosovo's independence, LDK chairman Isa Mustafa sends this blessing to all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo:
Dear citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, the declaration of independence on February 17th 2008 marks one of the most important moments in Kosovo's newest history. The road to independence was a path of sacrifice, and it is possible for an entire people who didn't even save their lives to free the country. The designer of independence and the founding of the state of Kosovo is its architect, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.
He with his pro-Western vision wins extraordinary international support, especially from the United States, to support Kosovo in achieving freedom, creating the state and continuing in its consolidation.
We are eternally grateful to the Family of the Legendary Commander, to Adam Jashar, to the martyrs of the nation, and to all those who made a tremendous contribution to their continued efforts at freedom, liberation, and statehood.
At this 13th anniversary, Kosovo has achieved many successes despite the challenging circumstances it has faced during its journey over the years.
The only way to make Kosovo a member of the EU, NATO and the UN is to work diligently in fulfilling obligations as a state in the internal context, economic development, fighting corruption, and maintaining the US partnership, because without their help today we will not celebrate release.
The LDK remains committed to preserving and consolidating our country because this Republic is our permanent project.
Congratulations, February 17, Independence Day!
