Ibrahim in an interview for The KP, it has said, has met with the Council of Chiefs, where the result of the division of coloured municipalities has been discussed, which has produced positive results.
“A few days ago, the inter-minor or inter-institute anti-convidial committee was assembled, where it was discussed on the current situation in terms of the Devi-19 pandemic, and at that meeting it was not discussed in terms of austerity of measures or changing them. At the last meeting we had as the council of mayors, within the Kosovo Communist Association at the central level. The mayors have shown willingness to support the central level in implementing measures if there are new measures, but they have shown caution in terms of current anti-convid measures, through color, or the classification of coloured municipalities where it is stressed that it has shown positive results in percentages. In the number of tests during the day, municipalities have found that it is not a high percentage in order to examine the measures, and for that reason we as an association have not recommended any changes of anti-David” measures, he said.
According to him, municipal directors have taken care of schools to be equipped with anti-covid protection tools, and this also affected the number of uninfected teachers and students.
Among the directors of municipal education directors and the percentage of students and teachers infected by Ovid-19, is very low and for that reason we have only a few schools that are developing online teaching. Municipal Education Directors have done a very good job so that schools can be equipped with anti-David protection tools and therefore we have a small number of local-level cases in order to infect students and educators”, he said.
He has said that during these months there are rising personal revenues in municipalities, compared to 2020.
“compared to 2020 as far as the economic situation and the situation of personal inflow is changing positively. It must be taken into account that in 2020 of their own incomes have suffered a dramatic decline due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and some capital projects that were made through their own revenues, cannot be realized because of the pandemic but also the drastic decline of their own revenues. During this first year, the first two months have seen a rise in personal revenues. And in particular from property tax because the main inflow of municipalities are from property tax and construction permits, as well as from several municipal taxes paid by local businesses, which operate or exploit public spaces of the municipalities” he said
Businesses in the municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo were helped by turning them away from rent payments and release on various municipal taxes. Ibrahimi says municipalities helped businesses within legal opportunities and budgetary capacities.
“Based on the possibilities, budgetary capacities of the Republic of Kosovo municipalities, businesses that have operated in relevant municipalities have been helped by local authority, through release of various taxes, enabled businesses, those who have used public or municipal spaces to be released from rent, but also some penal interest trucks that are money with municipal regulations have been eliminated d.m. Within legal opportunities and budgetary capacities municipalities have helped businesses on municipal territory, in which” is located, he said.
He says that in all municipalities in Kosovo it is from a family medicine centre called Covid, where patients with symptoms can be checked, enabling them not to go to the main University Centre alone but also to have access to their municipalities.
There's an almost every municipality in Kosovo, and there's a Family Medicine Centre, called Coddy and patients with symptoms of Covid-19, and they don't need to go directly to the main University Center, but they go and report to the Family Medical Centers, where they're being identified with Covid-19 and then they're doing the therapy”, he said.
