A day earlier, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zakharova published a photo with the inscription "Kosovo is Serbia."
The rejection of Kosovo's independence as if it did not suffice for Zakharova, who said the effort to normalise the report between Pristina and Belgrade in accelerated form is devastating.
“We consider every attempt to accelerate the so-called final normalisation between Belgrade and Pristina and set an arbitrary timetable for achieving this as devastating. It is more important to coordinate an applicable plan that will also be accepted by the public”, Zakharova wrote on the social Twitter network.
Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an answer to Klan Kosovo has said this is not the first time Russians are trying to divide, and thus are trying to undermine Western influence and extend that Russian to the region.
“Since the start of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, through its actions Russia has always tried to prevent reaching an agreement. Building a “humaniary base “in Nis in the vicinity of Kosovo, launching a train sponsored by Russia to violently introduced in Kosovo, organising incidents in the country's north by Russian members of the UN in Kosovo, as well as many other public and non-public actions at different international forums, clearly indicate the divisive Russian tendency to prevent the reconciliation process and disrupt peace in the region”, the MPJ response reported.
Zakharova also commented on the situation in Kosovo after the February 14th elections.
According to her, the Russians are concerned with radical rhetoric used by Kosovo Albanians after Vetevendosje's victory and what they seem to expect is reaction from Westerners for these “provocations” as they are called.
Even this approach did not surprise locals who say Russia considers Albanian nationalist parties, while MPJ reminds Russia that all Albanian parties in Kosovo have clear pro-Western and Euro-Atlantic orientation.
