Through a communiqué to the media, the KKP has called on Kurti and other candidates to be contained in their statements and not constitute direct interference in the work of the Judiciary, respectively, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council and the State Prosecutor.
On the other hand, the KKP has reminded the candidates that the chief prosecutor is elected and responded only to the Prosecutorial Council.
In this case, we stress that the prosecutorial system with strong support and international partners is fully committed to advancing internal mechanisms in empowering accountability, transparency and efficiency, as well as strengthening rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo”, said the communiqué.
