LDK before reforming, analysts: Mustafa's resignation is not enough, so who can lead the party

In addition to the chairman, the Democratic League of Kosovo is being asked to make radical changes, including vice-presidents, chairmanships and branch heads. Only this way, according to political connoisseurs, The LDK can bring in a new political alternative and opinion that tomorrow to present an offer of citizens. In the meantime to be in charge of [...]
Political science lawmakers at the University of Pristina, Dorajet Imer, tells Kosovo that the outcome of the February 14th elections is the best indicator for reforms to take place in the LDK.
“Vlerating that changes should begin from the top and have a load of responsibility even on branch heads who probably did not show a good outcome in this election. The LDK needs a new alternative, a new political opinion within this political party so that they return to citizens tomorrow with a new political offer. So I consider everyone may have ambitions, but it belongs to the LDK structure to determine who the new figures in its leadership will be, he says.
These reforms, according to Arton Demahs her from Geta, must be deep that connect party leadership and organisational structure.
If we analyze and compare to past elections, the LDK has halved the election result. From over 200 grand votes to 100,000 votes, it's a deep loss, so to the The LDK is much more urgent reform, even with new leaders and leaders. But this means that even in branches where there is great loss of reflection and reform. If we analyze the LDK when Mr. Mustafa came to its helm, he has taken the party with a good result, when we see it now in 2021 is a deep loss. So this shows that there needs to be a necessary and profound reform that connects the entire leadership to leadership with subheadings, but also with branch heads”, he says.
As for candidacys for LDK chairman, UPP political science legalist Dorajet Imer says the two figures who have respect within the party are just Metom Shala and Lumir Abdixhiku.
As he says, Lutfi Haziri can even become LDK chairman, but belongs to the old guard who brought the party's greatest election defeat.
“Lutfi Haziri is part of the LDK's old guard for my conviction. But the two figures that are often mentioned are Mr. Shala and Obadiah. They seem to have a kind of respect (to them), but this respect should be translated into willingness to take office, as it is not enough to be just respected within the party, but you must be in the face of the processes. Therefore, if Mr. Shala and Abdixhik have respect inside LDK, they should turn it into a willingness to take over party leadership duties at a time, not too favourable, at the time when the party is at the worst outcome in its history”, he declares.
Days ago, the president already in his resignation, Isa Mustafa, said that no nominations for party chairmanship have been announced yet, until he announced that within March the LDK Election Assembly will elect the new chairman.
No, they're not mentioned, we've been told to think, make proposals, and we'll try as soon as we have the proposals from the branch, even from the leadership to get this process done as we can. We haven't set a date, the longest meeting deadline is 60 days, but we won't wait 60 days, we'll try to get somewhere further up until mid-March to complete this” process, he stressed.
The Democratic League of Kosovo in the 14 February elections has emerged the third party, with only 13.08 per cent of the electoral power. This result was considered among the weakest in the history of this political party.
Immediately, a day after the elections, Isa Mustafa as a sign of political responsibility resigned and called for the LDK Electoral Assembly, where the new governing structures are expected to be resolved within 60 days.
