Kosovo police with operational agenda for election day

Kosovo police have indicated that through drafting the operational police order, they have in time made all its police planning regarding early parliamentary elections, which will be held on February 14th, 2021.

In order to provide security and governance for the election process have been co-ordinated and co-ordinated joint activities with the State Prosecutor and the Central Election Commission, while, in turn, a sufficient number of police officials of different profiles will be engaged, belonging to different units within the Kosovo Police.

According to police planning, the purpose of this operational order for this election process is:

Establishing a safe and secure climate for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as keeping order, calm and public security in the country before, during and after the election process, always implementing (N.07/L-006 law for preventing and combating pandemic COVID-19% in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, the decisions of the RKS Government, decisions and circuit to the Ministry of Health, as well as IKSHP recommendations.

Ensuring the polling centres, Municipal Election Councils, Municipal Deposs, the Centre for Counting and Central Depos.

The safe approach and security of all the sense-of-election material from all previous destinations under the security plan until the police operation is completed, which is related to the election process.

The initiative and prosecution of any criminal act against voting rights and the enterprise of all procedure/penal measures against anyone that conflicts with the country's positive laws regulating/sancitating illegal actions against free and democratic elections in co-ordination and close co-operation with the State Prosecutor according to the law-based action plans and preliminary agreements.

Kosovo police have further stressed that they have taken additional measures by appointing police co-ordinators with the CEC and other institutions engaged in the process, as well as drafting a roadmap for police officials regarding their legal duties and responsibilities during the election process.
