Kosovo, Northern Macedonia deepen co-operation in the field of auditing

According to the communiqué from the Auditor's Office, the general audience, Besnik Osmani, has reportedly praised counterpart Maksim Acevski for the work done since his arrival at the helm of the State Revision Administration in the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
During this meeting Osmani and Acevski discussed recent developments that took place at the Supreme Institution of Audition of Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. In this regard Osmani highly praised the co-operation between the two Supreme Audition Institutions, saying that this co-operation will deepen further through exchange of experiences.
The particular link in this meeting has been dedicated to auditing the measures in response to the David-19 pandemic, the auditing of central and local revenues, auditing public enterprises, and other issues.
Meanwhile, Republic of Northern Macedonia General Auditor Maxim Acevski thanked the General Auditor Osmani for his achievements during the leadership of the National Audition Office of Kosovo. Also talked about the further integration of the two institutions in EUROSAI and INTOSAI to exchange better experiences.
The leaders of both institutions said they are committed to their institutions' commitment to meeting the co-operation agreement, reached in 2019, through concrete schedules of activities. By agreement, it is intended to promote institutional co-operation, through exchange of experiences in the field of foreign public auditing methodology, support in the development of audit software, professional training, information exchange and documentation on professional activities, organisation of parallel audits on topics of common interest, planning consultations, joint research, seminars, conferences and technical meetings.
Also within the framework of official visit to northern Macedonia, General Auditor Besnik Osmani has also been hosted at the meeting by the government's deputy chairman for economic issues, Fatmir Bytyqi, who has congratulated him on taking the new post.
On the official visit to Northern Macedonia, General Auditor Besnik Osmani was accompanied by the cabinet's chief, Taulant Sejdiu, and International Co-operation Department Director, the Mulay Centre.
