In formalising Kosovo-Israel relations, President Vjosa Osmani's task leader, Faton Peci, did not attend.

Following the virtual ceremony, in an area with flags of Kosovo and Israel, the US flag has been seen celebrating the incumbent prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, American Ambassador Philip Costett, acting Minister Melza Haradinaj-Subla, state co-ordinator for Kosovo dialogue Serbia, Skender Hyseni and Faton Peci, Vjosa Osmani, but not herself, writes Perisko.

Although with a series of disputes and much controversy between them, Hoti and Peci, who were not long ago co-partys, crossed the glasses and wished each other for this success.

The recognition of Kosovo by Israel came as part of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia brokered by the Trump administration in September. The agreement also included normalisation between Israel and Kosovo and that Kosovo and Serbia open their embassies in Jerusalem.
