The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms estimates that after the February 14th elections the political situation in the country has become very clear.
The next “position has secured absolute power by leading the executive, with great power in the Kosovo Assembly and by taking over the post of president. The future position has stated that it will not coalition with any Albanian party by taking full responsibility for all processes and decision-making in Kosovo”.
This council requires that the future opposition be constructive and co-operative in the process of forming institutions.
KMDLNY hopes the upcoming opposition should unanimously vote on the Kurti 2 government, Albin Kurtin, prime minister as well as Vjosa Osman president.
It also requires that the Kurti case not be sent to the Constitutional Court because other processes, which seem to be absolute responsibility of the future position, are unnecessarily delayed.
The next government will not stumble, not in the next 100 days, but in the next 12 months. The next opposition, with the upcoming prime minister's secession declaration, is relieved of any responsibility in the decision-making plan and leaves the opposition's possibility for further local elections. In democracy, the voter determines the rules of the political game, while the elected are known to implement them. In the concrete case, the decision-making and responsibility address is clearly defined, so any attempt to prevent the process is to violate the will of the majority”.
