The Hodaj surrender from the Kosovo Inspectorate has stated that during the year, they accept many complaints from citizens, whether in the arrest process or during interviews at the police station.
We've received 1650 complaints during 2020, 200 complaints linking the work of police officials. This number of complaints is 15 percent greater than the previous years. It's done because of anti measures. - CO VID, which citizens have complained about the police ban process”, has declared Hodaj at KTV.
Regarding the case in which a police official, Haris Kelmendi has been practicing violence against a detainee at the police station, Hodaj has said it was overcoming competencies and images of the attack have been seen by a citizen's phone.
“We contacted the competent prosecutor in the case, then we had communicates announcing an official had been arrested during the duty's performance. We have taken immediate action. We have easily identified the officer who used force, then identified the other officials”, he posted.
Hodaj has stressed that the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has addressed all citizens' complaints, but according to him, it is not easy to identify when violence occurs within the police station.
