Hoti: We preserve state and plan to develop Kosovo

Democratic League of Kosovo candidate (LDK) for prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, said on Wednesday at the opening of the election campaign, that the LDK is the party that protects the state and the interests of Kosovo citizens, as it is inherited from Kosovo's independence architect, President Rugova. So we did in the spring [...]
That's how we did it in the spring of last year, when we stopped a government that began to damage the state, and we took responsibility to govern in the most difficult moments in the last 20 years. We were determined not to allow special friendship with the United States. We could not have allowed the Kosovo Government offices, the White House, which is holy to Kosovo Albanians, to be called yellow or red houses. At that time, we were able simply to withdraw from our institutional responsibility to stay in opposition as others did. But, we could not allow the damage to the state of Kosovo only to protect party interests”, Hoti said.
The LDK candidate also spoke of achievements that have been marked during his eight months at the helm of the government. He cited successful management of pandemic, the adoption of economic recovery that has impacted half the negative effect of pandemic on the economy.
With a normal approach to governance, our 30-year-old dream has become a reality our daughters and Kosovo Army boys have become part of the American Army on peaceful missions. After a few weeks in the office, I received an invitation from the White House, where I signed the historic agreement, turning our state into geopolitical nodes. I thank the new US Secretary of State, Blinken, and the new administration of President Biden, who have vowed to continue living the full life of this agreement. This agreement assured us of Israel's recognition by breaking the three-year blockade of anonymity. Those who left nothing without saying against this agreement and against me are silent this day. I invite them to at least thank the Israeli people”, the LDK candidate for prime minister said.
Expanding the main points of the LDK programme, Hoti stressed there are concrete investment plans of 1 billion euros only from the Washington Agreement.
“In the four-year rule of LDK, we have a plan ready for 5 billion public investments, which will create new jobs, while through concrete policies, our government will also promote 7 billion euros of private investment”, Hoti said.
The citizens' health is primary for us, so we've set it as the first point of the pandemic management program. As for economic development and social well-being, we will facilitate access to finance, strengthen the loan guarantee fund, subsidise interest rates and share grants for women and young people in business. Our government will guarantee the minimum 300 euros wage. We will remove the restrictions for 15 years for contributing pensions. Social assistance would be linked to the cost of living and increased by 30%”, Hoti said.
He invited citizens to go massively to elections and vote the number 132, as only in this way, Kosovo maintains the Euro-Atlantic course and is led by commitment and professionalism.
