The incumbent Minister of Health, Armend Zemaj, estimates that the pandemic situation has been effectively managed and can be considered calm. He has demanded that discipline continue.

He has said that with the restrictions being applied, they are claiming to keep the situation stable. Pristina. Fushe-Kosovo, Zvecan's Suhareka are the municipalities still found in the red zone.

We have a quiet pandemic situation. Concern has been about the new cases that have resulted from COVID-19, but also the new version presented in Great Britain. So we're looking to continue with discipline. Eventually, if conditions and circumstances arise that we can walk through these areas with a release. The effect of the measures was seen. Almost most economic activities are allowed. With such restrictions, we are pretending to keep our condition stable, the number of infections, and the number of hospital cases. At the moment we do not believe that we will move quickly with the release of measures”, Zemaj told EO.

He adds that he has made all the mechanisms available for managing the new coronary variant.

“The IKPK has also been guaranteed in our clinics in the isolation of this new virus in terms of the distribution of contacts both in scientific terms and in its treatment through testing, so with the capacities we've added, but also with the new knowledge that health professionals themselves have, they're showing that we can monitor it, but it requires increased care in this area. We have made decisions immediately to close air borders with Great Britain, we are hoping that in the countries of the region we can take restrictive measures with countries that can present increasing cases of this variant of the virus. It's just a variant that in distribution it has the greatest effect. While treating the same in a clinical way”, Zemaj said.

He added that not only for citizens, but there have been fines also for political parties, so he says oversight should be expanded at all centres.

The same “are citizens and political parties and activists. Even citizens who are not part of political subjects, we have to be careful even calling for increased care. There have been fines for political subjects as well and I think that the supervision should be expanded not only at certain aunary inspectors' centres, the Kosovo Police and all others should be more active and see the election calendar that political parties should present in the police and through them monitor the management of the process, but” activities, Semaj added.
