Haradinaj assured in February 2018, the Pentagon that Kosovo has made the necessary progress and that it has the capacity needed to convert the KSF into the military. For that, he also received the Pentagon's full assurance that he is willing to assist Kosovo on every stage of this project. A few months after that, Kosovo's guarantee was made with the army, until Haradinaj as prime minister declared that peace armies were led by America and that Kosovo has the honour to line up after America.

Through an announcement from the AAK, former prime minister and candidate for Kosovo President Ramush Haradinaj had reportedly held one of the most important meetings in the US as prime minister in February 2018. On an official visit to the Pentagon, Haradinaj assured that Kosovo has made the necessary progress to form the military.

Haradinaj, from Defence Secretary James Mattis, received assurances that Petagon was ready to help Kosovo on Kosovo's road to having its army.

We have achieved the right to live free from the timely assistance of the American Army and NATO. It's a big luck that over the years, we continue to have these same partners on our side. Happy to see Secretary Mattis and the Pentagon's readiness to help Kosovo, on our right track to have our army”, delivered the great news from the US during this visit to Haradinaj, the announcement said.

Secretary Mattis had expressed the willingness and full dedication of the American Government to help Kosovo in all processes through which Kosovo was going through. But the particular emphasis had been placed on strong support for the KSF and the process related to the transformation of this force conforming to the previous strategic plan.

Through a military honour at the Pentagon, Haradinaj Secretary Mattis confirmed that the US would work closely on implementing each stage of the plan.

“Several months after this important visit, while Haradinaj was prime minister, Kosovo's Assembly eventually adopted three laws, with which the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into the Kosovo Army is possible”, the report said.

Although the KSF's name does not undergo changes due to the inability to constitutional changes, adopted laws are estimated to give the KSF military capacities during a transformation process within several years. It was the Law for the Ministry of Defence, the Kosovo Security Force and the Ministerial Law in the Kosovo Security Force. So December 14th marked a historic day and one of the most important decisions since Kosovo's declaration of independence in 2008.

Ramush Haradinaj, after voting on the formation of the military, had said Kosovo was entering the last line of peace armies in the world.

The “Porosia that leads Kosovo today is that peace we have won with much pain, for peace our allies have helped us. We are the last to have come in peace, and we will leave peace. No one can distance us from the line of peace”, Haradinaj was expressed.
