The dream and vision you had to see Kosovo free and independent were realized, and today I and Sister Feriden, with the brothers and the Faith of Buying, along with Ademi of Luli and Shaban of Murat, Igball of the Union, and all your grandchildren every day, and we are growing older and being free and always proud of never forgetting our glorious past.

Grandpa, today I and the other children of the family are growing up with stories about you and your great works, with the love you've cultivated in our home for years, with the responsibility we hold as your descendants and with the patrotic spirit and the great will we have to serve our new country in any way.

Today is your birthday!

It's your 71st birthday, and I'm 18 years old and bearing your name that my father and your son Bekim have given me so much love and pride!

I didn't have the chance to be physically close to you and to grow up with your grandfather's love, the great love you had for your children, but I never forget the words and conversations we often have with Daddy about you and your greatness, the conversations that sometimes don't end until morning, and I'm excited and proud.

I know it's impossible, but I'd love to meet you just once, if only I had one conversation with you, even though it wouldn't be enough, to hear your voice just once counseling me how valuable Freedom is, for what you and the entire family fell heroicly never to die.
