The Committee for Management and Prevention of COVID-19, under the leadership of Gjilan Deputy Chairman Arber Ismajli, has held the meeting to assess the situation for the past two days.
Deputy Chairman Ismajli said there is an increase in cases of infection, adding that this should serve as a call for protection from COVID-19, respecting measures, setting the mask and keeping the distance.
He announced that the number of active cases currently in Gjilan is 119.
The overall mirror in Gjilan since the beginning of the pandemic is the following: out of 11424 samples, 3644 have proved positive, 3606 have recovered, 110 citizens have lost their battle with the virus, 119 cases are active, hospitalised with COVID are 17 people and 400 pending samples for results.
In contrast, the committee, founded by President Lutfi Haziri on March 13th 2020, includes local and regional institutions, including QKMF, civil emergencies, QRSHP, police, Islamic Community, firefighters, call centre 112 and the Red Cross.
