At the city's cemetery in Brecoc's neighbourhood in Gjakova had been dug earlier, and the Government Commission for the real estate has confirmed that excavations will be conducted at this location again.

The commander of the police station in Gjakova, Major Milazim River, has provided details of how it came to finding these mortar remains.

He made it known that the mortore remains have been found by tomb keepers, who have been opening a grave and who have then notified the Kosovo Police. The river said a military uniform with the Kosovo Liberation Army was found near the mortor remains.

“Today, around 10:30 employees of the Chabrat company here in the city cemetery in Gjakova, specifically near the cemetery of the martyrs during the opening of a tomb in a case of the death of a Gjakova citizen, who immediately came across the mortore remnants, just as soon as they encountered those mortar remains, have notified the police. We then came quickly to place the event, first saw the scene and placed the tape and located the scene, then informed the relevant teams who would be taken further. Actually, here we are dealing with mortore waste, which is estimated to be post-war or war time, and we have a mortar remnant, in the vicinity of this mortore remnant, is a military uniform with the KLA Emmema”, he said.

He also made it known that mortore remains have not been damaged during the opening of the tomb by tomb keepers.

Gara's review, by the Government Commission for the Unattended, has said of Kosova Preress, that it has been dug in earlier and that at the same location they will return to conduct the dig.

The “Loque in question is one of the locations already handled. I mean the Brecot cemetery in Gjakova. This location has been treated before. Of course it's part of the agenda and we believe that we're going back to this location to proceed further in the sense of extracting value and exhuming bones that might be in this location. What's important to emphasize at the moment is that the information is shared by the citizen, by the maintenance person who has met at the bones” respectively, he said.

After receiving information that mortar remains have been found in this country, the legal medicine Institute team has set out to conduct necessary examinations.

Legal Medicine Institute Director Education Gerjaliu said they expect body withdrawal and its behaviour at the Institute of Legal Medicine, where they will then proceed with other procedures until the identification of those mortore remains.

“It's about random finding bone parts in a uniformed body. As the Gjakova Police have declared... We also expect body attraction and its behavior at the Law Medicine Institute, where then there will be anthropological examination and then DNA identification”, he said.

Congratulation Race from the Government Commission for the Homeless, there is a prayer for all citizens of the country who may face mortar waste.

For all citizens who may face bone, which may be in clothing, clothing, or artefacts not to touch, move, but report competent institutions, in this case the Government Commission and the war crimes police sector. Of course, we as institutions will act in an effort to address these cases with particular priorities, given that expectations, family anxiety and continued institutional effort for these families to know the fate of their most loved ones”, he said.
