Periscop has contacted LDK chairman Isa Mustafen to ask him about the “bish” that his resignation might have.
Mustafa resigned from the post of president of the oldest parliamentary party in Kosovo after the disappointing results in the February 14th elections.
I see no reason to comment on the statements of others. The LDK Assembly will soon be held for the election of new chairman.” He said Mustafa today.
Besides Fatmir Sejdiu, other commentators have voiced doubts that in LDK the domestic elections process is completely independent of the current leadership.
For me, the LDK is and remains a very serious and very important party for Kosovo. It's a state-forming party with extraordinary value. One race is lost in confrontation with one populist spirit, another wins it. He said Periscope.
Among the names mentioned for the new LDK chairman are Kujtim Shala, Lumir Abdixhiku and Lutfi Haziri. On the other hand, their candidacy has only been declared by Melihate Trmcoli and Anton Quinn.
