Albert Krasniqi, from Democracy Plus, has said the incoming Government's main challenge will be dialogue with Serbia.
“We are aware that dialogue with Serbia is one of the themes that have endangered the last three governments and we should have a clear vision of what the future Government will do in relation to this subject. This is also an international pressure to find a solution in the report between Kosovo and Serbia, and this will be one of the main challenges on the foreign policy level that will host the next government”.
Krasniqi has also said that economic recovery is one of the other challenges facing the new government.
Of course, in the face of pandemic, providing vaccines and citizen vaccines and also providing health resources to cope with pandemic. Economic recovery from the consequences which has left the pandemic, covering the deficits, which are being caused in Kosovo's budget. These will be the main issues the future Government will face without going to other problems that are chronic, such as fighting corruption rule of law and other problems our society has been facing for years”.
According to Krasniqi, political parties have been degrading because their governing programmes are not being discussed how the problems the country is facing will be resolved.
“During the election campaign period, we are looking at very little discussion about the content of political party programmes and how to address the solution to the main problems facing the state and citizens, but mainly we are oriented about who will be the winner, which positions they will take and what the percentage will be. So there's a degradation that we haven't seen in these sizes what it is now and these will also be Krautic for the future government to continue”.
That dialogue is the government's main challenge coming and saying, Arton Demhaje, from the organisation Get up.
“I think that the main issue the Government of Kosovo has to face as soon as it is created is to be the question of dialogue with Serbia and the conclusion of this dialogue with the achievement of a final” agreement.
Demhaya also views field issues as challenging, such as education and health.
The new “government, in addition to other challenges related to domestic issues such as Covid and economic recovery from the consequences that remain from Covid-19, economic development, the opening of new jobs, rule of law, education health and all these are the main topics that distract citizens of Kosovo”.
While Penal Law Professor Ismet Salihu has told the Online Economy that the new Government must engage competent persons in certain positions, especially in ministerial ones.
I especially wish that after these elections, at the main posts, such as the posts of ministries as justice, education and the economy, first be appointed professional people who know to do those jobs and with integrity. Let it not happen that the minister of education is appointed to someone who has never worked in education, or the minister of justice is appointed a chemist. As the postules of the main component are two, first of all professional, and second, have integrity and authority so that I can do it with dedication” is expressed.
Salihu also wishes that the new government will be formed so that it will be able to carry out the mandate to the end, as changing governments is reflecting on the lives of citizens.
“I hope there will be a majority, majority that will establish a government with sufficient number of MPs. A government that will be stable. Which for the first time tries to carry out the four-year term, because frequent elections, in half or 1/3 of the mandate, are then triggering disorder and reflecting on the daily lives of citizens, because there is no real economic development and social”, it has ended.
