Daka: Elections to be held under law, political parties to adhere to Constitution

CEC Chairman Valdete Daka has said this institution carries the main burden of election organisation.
Daka added that organising the elections would not be possible without inter-institutional co-operation.
“We are aware that interilateral co-operation is necessary to serve free and democratic elections. Our goal is to keep the elections in line with the law and react when the integrity of the elections is violated and the right to vote” has said Daka.
It has added that the CEC is constantly committed to organising reliable and high-standard elections.
“Mes multiple challenges including short time The CEC is committed to fulfilling tasks stemming from the Constitution and the law on general elections. I want to guarantee all participants in this election process that the CEC remains committed to organising the elections under the Constitution and the laws in power”, Daka said.
Daka again appealed to political subjects and all other acts that are participants in this election process to adhere to the Constitution and Law in force for general elections.
These comments to Daka made a media conference held between the Central Election Commission; Election panel for Ances and Parashtesa; State prosecutor; Kosovo Judiciary Council; Independent Media Commission and NGOs.
The CEC will hold the next meeting today to certified the final voter list, which will be distributed in the polls on Election Day.
