Serbia's Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic, at the Vojvodina Radio Television, has indicated that Serbian diplomacy has the right to be indignant with Israel for recognising Kosovo's independence, because, according to him, Kosovo is Serbia's Jerusalem.
He has indicated that Israel's move will surely leave consequences in the reports with Serbia.
“We have always said that Kosovo is our Jerusalem, and now someone knows our Jerusalem for Albanians, and this, of course, cannot leave any consequence in the reports between Serbia and Israel”, Daciqi said, when asked to comment on the statement of Israel's ambassador to Serbia, Yahel Vilan, who demonstrated hope that the recognition of Kosovo's independence will not change the good <2nd> ” between Serbia and Israel.
Kosovo's recognition by Israel, according to Daciqi, is also an indication that every country and every people in the world see first of all their own interests, and here, as he says, Israel's interest was that a Muslim state “opens up the embassy in Jerusalem.
He says Serbia will decide on future reports with Israel and with the shift of embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, “based on Israeli reports to Serbia”.
“Even President Vuciq has immediately said the report to Israel will be based on Israel's reports to us”, Dacicici later said.
As he claims, in Pristina the recognition of Kosovo by Israel has been experienced as <x0fit against the recognition blockade”, but Daciqi adds that this “is not a victory over the recognition blockade”, but American aid.
If it were not for America, it would never happen”, the head of Serbia's Parliament said.
Speaking of the campaign for attracting recognitions of Kosovo's independence, the campaign, which under Washington's agreement has been blocked until June of this year, Daciqi replied briefly: “will also come to June”.
If someone thinks the countries will run to recognise Kosovo, I think they're wrong. In the last period, 19 states have drawn recognitions of Kosovo's independence and this process is unstoppable, perhaps only temporarily”, he stressed. According to him, Kosovo, even with Israel's recognition, does not have the majority in the UN General Assembly, where out of 193 votes, according to him, Kosovo can get 93 at most.
