Kosovo, on an annual basis, is considered that through official roads, it manages to absorb remittances of over 800m euros annually. As long as it is pandemic time last year, remittances had affected a peak of close to 1 billion euros. This is estimated to be even greater as a figure.

But Social Democrat Initiative candidate Bekim Brestovci is considering this only as a survival investment and not focused on concrete investments.

Looking at my 25-year experience in diaspora, I can say that in general, the Kosovo diaspora in entrepreneurship can be considered new, since most firms or businesses have a 10-15-year experience. This suggests that not many companies have the necessary capacities to leave clues to the country's economic development. Therefore, it is important to find other channels besides direct investment”, Brestovci, who in the diaspora has 11 businesses and over 1300 employees, said.

Brestovci, has initiated the creation of an action society that would gather over a thousand businesses from Kosovo.

With this project aimed at creating food industry, it would bring the employment of 10-15 thousand workers in the agriculture field.

There will also be special forms of the offer, which Kosovo will offer companies in order to open their representation in our country.

With careful measures, the situation will also be changed in public enterprises, while for social companies such as Trepca and Brezovica, they should be revitalised by creating special packages for investments in them.

Revisiting these companies will affect the positive growth of Bruto Local Product and increased employment, much needed for Kosovo.
