Costet answers Kurt for dialogue with Serbia: The world cannot wait

US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip S. Costett, in an interview in T7 for the first time after the February 14th parliamentary elections, has also spoken on the topic of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which Kurti is saying is the fourth priority of his government platform. Costett said that “bots do not [...]
Costett has said that the <x0bot does not expect”, consisting of granting priority dialogue with the neighbouring state.
He has received reference the discurs for accelerating dialogue between the two countries from a past US government, not to mention its name.
The United States has invested heavily over the past 20 years. There's no doubt about it. When Mr. Kurt says, okay, dialogue, foreign policy, we're gonna leave it a little bit further down. My experience is that the world doesn't wait. An American government said that in the past. Sometimes they come to power and say that the first two years, the first four years we'll deal with domestic politics, and then we'll worry about foreign policy. That's a little hard to do, so I wouldn't get too attached to this point”, the American diplomat said.
Ambassador Costett has said he should not depreciate his past efforts in the face of achieving normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
He has added that he has talked to Kurt about the question of dialogue.
And I said privately and publicly that, again, we want to have a cooperative relationship. We want to hear and not just talk to you, but listen to our partners in Kosovo and Serbia, in the region on issues like dialogue, as regional economic integration. So, we want to move forward with an open mind, and in this respect we said, Secretary of State Blinken said we will not dismiss all the work that has been done for the Balkans by the preliminary administration. We want to review carefully, rethink and maintain what is worth carrying. Therefore, I would also encourage others to be open - minded and to consider together what has been done in the past worth preserving for the future”, the American diplomat declared.
