Tolaj in an interview for EO says that before the campaign began, Kosovo has had a trend of declining cases, and as he says it could have dropped even more if politicians were more aware.
There is definitely no other pre-election campaign explanation that has been organised in a way that has favoured close contacts in closed environments for many who have participated in these campaigns, and therefore the possibility of having the infection increased greatly and I repeat that Kosovo has had a good trend and has been able to get along very well as if politicians had been more aware of”.
But, Tolaj believes there will be no closure if there is an increase in cases, as according to him, there may only be new applications.
The “will likely depend on whether this trend will be forwarded today and the following days, if this growth will be continued present then there will surely be additional measures but I don't believe in closing because this number is still not one to be disturbing and the authorities in the world when the situation is manageable have not applied extreme reserve measures”.
“Those that have been actual from the beginning even now and need no measures other than the carrying of the mask, hygiene and social distance, the authorities must that these measures that are in force to monitor more strictly”, Tolaj has indicated.
However, he says that according to some statistics so far in Kosovo, more than half a million citizens may have passed the virus, but he says it is not enough to create collective immunity to Covid-19.
But we can see this next week if this number doesn't increase multiple from yesterday then the possibility that this is just a temporary increase. According to studies, only 18% manifest themselves in clinical signs and through tests, so when the number of cases in Kosovo is estimated to be over half a million, and that percentage is still not enough to create a collective immunity that is protective of Coronavirus”.
While for the anti-Convidian vaccine, he sees the government as a failure that could not make any contracts with potential producers, EO reports.
“Vaksin was supposed to be much earlier because it's the main means by which we can fight pandemic and any other wave, and if we had started now inoculation, then we would have been in a more favourable situation where we wouldn't have this lift. Disillusionment is that authorities have not been able to make any contract with potential producers of this” vaccine.
